Your animal isn't
off-the-shelf.
Their setup doesn't
have to be either.
Tell us who you are building for and what would make their space work better. We create distinctive enclosure backdrops, habitat pieces, soft goods and one-off solutions around the animal, the space and the real-life routine.

Different animals. Different spaces. Different answers.
We love briefs where personality and practical care both matter. These animal photographs are inspiration only—not examples of finished Oddball products.
Custom where custom
actually makes a difference.
We are not trying to turn every idea into the same product. We start with the outcome: what the animal needs, what the space allows, what needs to be easy to clean or access, and what you want it to feel like.
Enclosure backdrops & habitat landscapes
From a useful rear background through to dimensional routes, ledges, pockets, hides and feature-rich layouts designed around the enclosure brief.
Plan a backdrop →Hides, bowls, organisers & habitat accessories
For the awkward gap, unusual size, particular routine or idea that standard products do not solve well.
Discuss a custom piece →Hammocks, liners & washable fabric products
Custom dimensions, attachment needs, comfort and cleaning all considered before making.
Request a custom size →“I cannot find this anywhere…” is a perfectly good starting point.
Send the idea. If it is within our capability and we can make it responsibly for the intended use, we will work through the options with you.
Pitch the odd idea →You shouldn't need to be a fabricator to explain what you want.
Tell us what is not working, what you want the animal to be able to do, and what you want the finished piece to feel like. We will ask for the technical details when they matter.
Start with the simple versionThe outcome comes first.
We work across a range of materials, textures, finishes, textiles, timber, hardware and fabricated components. The combination depends on the intended use, cleaning needs, fit, environment and the look you are chasing.
Not every material suits every animal or environment. Final material choices and product-specific limitations are confirmed during quoting.
Tell us what it needs to doFor visual depth, routes, ledges and character-filled enclosure work.
A simple path from “what if…” to a finished project.
Custom should feel exciting, not confusing. You can start with a rough idea and add detail as we work out the right scope.

Tell us the animal, the problem or idea, the space and anything you already know.
Clarify the brief
We ask for the measurements, photos or practical details that actually affect the answer.

You get the agreed scope, price and important project details before custom work moves ahead.
Build & update
Important changes, files and customer-facing updates stay attached to the project.
Handover
Final information, care notes and relevant project documents are kept together.

CARE
MADE WITH PURPOSE
You deal with the people actually running the project.
Oddball Animal Works is built around considered custom work. That means listening properly, keeping the details organised and making pieces that feel personal without losing sight of practical care.
We would rather ask one more useful question than pretend every animal, enclosure and household needs the same answer.
Not sure what to send? Start anyway.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation, not a test. Give us what you know and we can tell you what is still needed for a proper quote.
What should I include in my first enquiry?
The animal or species, what you would like made, the enclosure or space if relevant, rough dimensions if you have them, your postcode, timing and a couple of clear photos are an excellent start.
What if I do not know the exact measurements yet?
That is fine for the first conversation. Leave uncertain fields blank rather than guessing. We can tell you which measurements matter before a final quote or cut plan.
Can I send inspiration pictures?
Yes. Use them to show the feel, colour, shape or feature you like. Custom handmade work will not be an identical copy of someone else's piece, but references are very useful for understanding direction.
Does submitting an enquiry lock me into anything?
No. An enquiry lets us assess the idea. Scope, price, timing, deposit requirements and any booking are confirmed separately in writing.
Can you ship or can I collect?
Shipping, local delivery, collection and any installation arrangements depend on the size and project. We confirm the practical handover method during quoting.
How do I keep up with my enquiry or project?
Your enquiry confirmation gives you a private link. Once a project is underway, we can also issue a private customer project page for updates, files and approvals.
Your enquiry stays part of the private business record.
Information submitted through this site is used to assess, quote, plan, deliver and support the requested project. Uploaded files are stored privately and are not presented as a public gallery without separate permission.
Access to internal Studio records is restricted to authorised business owners. Customer project links and enquiry links should be treated as private.
An enquiry is a conversation starter — not a booking.
Submitting this form does not create a binding quote, acceptance, production booking or guarantee of availability. Final scope, price, timing, payment requirements, delivery, installation and product-specific conditions are confirmed separately in writing.
Animal owners remain responsible for safe setup, supervision and following project-specific care and handover information.
